My Work I Absolutely Love

My name is Mahana I love doing school work and all my teachers are
the best,I am a year six at Paihia School.

I have stared to do this work called summer learning journey and
I have been doing It for 2 weeks this is the first piece of work that
I have done. First we get to choose a  country out of 

Canada, Mexico, Germany, Chile, England[united kingdom, Japan, south Africa, Malaysia and Qatar.  I chose Mexico because I have always wanted to eat Mexico spicy food and I have always wanted to learn Spanish. Next I had to write some fact about my country that I chose here is a fact that I did, Mexico's  food is  Known for its range of flavors and spices the popular dishes in Mexico includes tacos, burritos and enchiladas. For my bonus activity I had to make a letter for my family to a tell them that I am going to Mexico and how long I will be there for and If they would like to come with me. Super Fast Five Netball

My Writing:  Super Fast Five Netball

Week 3 my teacher Whaea Shanna taught us a game called fast  five netball it's like netball just faster. We got into teams and played a game of fast five netball it was really easy at the beginning  but then we went against a really hard team so it got harder we scored a lot of tries on our first go. I can’t remember the people I played with but they were really good players. I need to get better at communicating with other people in my group and listening to their feedback.have you  ever played fast five netball?

Super Turbo Touch

 Week 1 of school we started doing a sport called turbo touch I really liked it. We had to practice before we started so we got the hang of it. SirChae, Amelia and I were in a group together. We weren't very good at catching or passing  but we kept practising and practising and we got better.

After a while we got to do a proper game we worked well but
  we didn't score a touchdown we still had fun anyway

Action World

Kia ora my name is Mahana on Tuesday my class and I went to Action World and I had so much fun. My favorite thing at Action World was the water slide. Then I went on the climbing wall and I nearly got to the top of the wall. My second favorite thing was the climbing wall because it was super fun.

Plants Animation

Ki ora my name is Mahana, I made an animation about how corn grows. We read stories to find out information for our animations. When I did my animation I had to do it in order so you know what to do in order. I enjoyed learning about plants for our T-shape literacy.I learnt how to grow corn.

A Lettuce And Silverbeet

Kia ora my name is Mahana on Friday we did a healthy makerspace. We had to be in groups. in my group there was Amber, Ella-Jane, Tiiria and I we made a lettuce and silverbeet wrap. In our lettuce and silverbeet wrap we put a salad in it. We used all four vegetables from the mystery box we used parsley, celery, carrot and silverbeet we also used tomatoes, lemon, cheese and salad dressing. How plants grow. Find a good place in the garden with warmth, light, air and water they absorb minerals and water through their roots and then turn into a sticky thing called sap. Sap is the plants blood witch moves the water and minerals to the places that are needed.Then they absorb the energy from the sun and use to turn into carbon dioxide. Plants make sugar so they can grow fruit, branches, flowers and tree flowers or they can make fruit. Fruits and vegetables can grow in different spaces at day time.
